Week 32: Of Coffee and AFF

#proud of myself. You guys wanna know why? BAM I'M ON AFF! AND AO3!
And I've also uploaded 'Of Coffee Addicts and Tea', which is an angsty XiuLay oneshot that I spent two days on. (for once)

It's pretty short cos I rushed it, since my break was coming to an end and the next day was a school day, but even though you can feel my anxiousness in the fic, I think the characterisation was what mattered most.

I put in a lot of subtle things to make my characters more alive, be it real life things that they love, or AU stuff I came up with. I'm really happy that I achieved what I wanted to do by the end of the fic. Not overly sappy and not too much of a 'bad-end' for Xiumin either.

I really loved the smiley face mug that I mentioned in the first chapter and decided to continue making sure that stubborn Xiumin is stubbornly insisting on using that mug throughout the fic. Also, I have a little backstory behind the mug that I'll probably post soon (hopefully in another college!AU for XiuLay).

Luhan and his damn football in the fic ugh. He's so adorable throughout the fic with his whiny-ness (much like me irl haha) save for the part where he insulted Xiumin. Friendly reminder to you guys to never even jokingly say that kind of stuff to people, even if they are your enemies. There are better ways to say these kind of things, especially if you don't phrase your words properly. I felt really hurt when someone told me those stuff again and again, as though they wanted to keep reminding me that my crush (and myself) were both stupid and useless. Anyways, just never say that. Ever.

I really liked how I made Lay sort of magical and all-knowing in the fic, and so calm and sweet. I swear to god I need a Lay in my life (I have someone who's a bit like that, except she's more perverted ≧◔◡◔≦). 

A few examples of this is how I made Lay just magically somehow guess which one was Xiumin's coffee mug (ugh the backstory is going to explode out of me soon), and Lay knowing that Xiumin liked Luhan, and when Xiumin would come back to the dorm and discover the green tea.

Also, I made a few hints of how different yet alike Lay and Luhan are, you'll probably only notice them if you squint OTL...
-Luhan insists on calling Xiumin's cappuccino as coffee, and Lay insists on calling 'just latte' as 'chai green tea latte' (wow so lengthy).
-Luhan says 'Love you!' when he hugs Xiumin in the fic, but Lay is the one who actually writes down the actual sentence 'I love you.' on the post-it note.
-Luhan loves 'coffee' that Xiumin brews, while Lay still overall prefers more sweetened drinks but still brews cappuccino for Xiumin at the end of the fic anyway.

Yeah, that's it. Those were pretty much the main points of characterisation in the fic. Also the backstory for the smiley face mug is quite short and idk if I can stretch it out for another XiuLay oneshot set in that same AU. Or maybe I'll just upload the backstory here, who knows?

Week 31: Well, shit.

First OFFICIAL blogpost for this blog, yay! (please ignore the previous one I just needed that post there for designing purposes)(and also because I wanted to show my new Taoris theme ahem)

Week 31 since I joined Wattpad, YEHET!

*throws confetti everywhere*

I don't know how many days 31 weeks is equal to, but all I can tell you is that is a lot of days. Dayum. GO ME!

Okay, down to why I haven't updated anything for the past month on Wattpad.

Reason 1: School.

Definition of school; something all writers use as an excuse when they do not update for a month or 2 years, depending on where you live.

(nO REALLY THIS IS A PATHETIC EXCUSE COMING FROM ME I AM SORRY WORLD)

Reason 2: Drama

Drama as in... the kind of drama that for ONCE, I didn't create, but yet somehow I am dragged into the mess that someone else made. Thank you people! I love you too! 凸(✿◠‿◠)凸

Reason 3: Laziness

This explains EVERYTHING.

Reason 4: Ummm... EXO is a really good distraction.

So yeah, not a lot of my readers know this, but I sort of may be slightly obsessed with EXO now and I spend like 5 hours a day doing EXO related fan-activities (wow so professional) and I may be... slightly have lost interest in One Direction. Just a little bit. But I can't help it, EXO is just... ugh. I can't describe the freaking feels everywhere, once you get sucked in, you can't get out unless you join another fandom. (which happened to me because I thought I would love the boys forever and forever and forever and a day but look what happened to me nOW)

Also because EXO is just... ugggggggggggggggggggggggggggh. So addicting. And honestly I respect their fandom a LOT because I know I shouldn't but I did anyway bc rebel and compared the One Direction fandom with theirs. 

(Mobbing)

One Direction fandom: Y'know... it's a mob, you should've seen it somewhere before. 

One Direction: Lash out at fans or security guards when things (ahemahem you know what I mean) happen to defend their members or themselves.

EXO fandom: Mobbing.

EXO: CAN'T LASH OUT. Wtf? Very unfair. They still have to smile and pose for pictures and I watched a video where Kris told the fans or security guard that he couldn't see but he wore shades anyway to protect himself from the flashes (not flashers lol) and had to remove them just so he could see and had to endure the flashes and photos and SCREAMING AND EVERYTHING MY HEART JUST

(Manners)

This is a touchy subject, but I hope you respect my views anyway.

One Direction fandom: Same as the EXO fandom. You guys should know what I'm talking about when it comes to attitude and manners and shit. Heck, even I have a lot of attitude when I deal with people who get on my nerves. But they tend to be quite rude when it comes to old jokes.

One Direction: Polite, but not too polite. Still quite friendly to fans and stuff, and they can joke about (slightly) inappropriate stuff.

EXO fandom: Same as One Direction fandom. We're all human, we're all snappy sometimes, but the difference between EXO fandom and One Direction fandom are the attitudes when it comes to old jokes. Directioners can't deal with people who ask or talk about carrots and stripes and spoons and curly and cats, EXO fans are cool with the jokes. (Idk if yehet and kkaepsong are old jokes like I seriously dk)

EXO: Polite and friendly, reserved. They're just really really really nice guys.

(Interviews)

One Direction: Not a lot of interviews nowadays that are actually... genuinely just funfunfun and jokes. Not a lot of interviews at ALL, actually :(

EXO: Interviews GALORE AND THE FEELS THAT COME WITH EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM (including the interview yesterday I watched from a year or two back where Tao said he hugs Xiumin like once or twice a month (or everyday ahemahem we know you're lying Tao) whenever they're bored on Xiumin's TINY SINGLE SIZED BED *sQUEALS AND THROWS CONFETTI* (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥

(Looks?)

One Direction: How can I ever compare both of the bands?!! I LOVE THEM BOTH.

EXO: I CAN'T CHOOSE OR COMPARE.

(Personality)

Honestly here's my personal OPINION. I guess both are wonderful, but I prefer EXO slightly more in this case. There are 12 different and unique personalities to suit your tastes and liking, and just a lot of fun and smiling and laughter when it comes to them. For One Direction, I can't help but point out here that a lot of fans have noticed by now that some of the boys have grown up and matured and they aren't kids or something like that anymore, so they've changed (???). If you don't understand what I mean by changed, then yeah, you can go to Ask . fm for clarifications. Or if you haven't NOTICED ANY CHANGES and is stubbornly insisting that I'm typing this just because I'm not a 'real fan', then well... Have a nice day and don't contact me. Thanks. :)

I've let this post drag on waaay too long, so I'm ending it (not) here.

Reason 5: Writing and writing style.

I'm slightly changing my writing style, you'll see what I mean if I ever decide to upload 'Stuck in that daydream - (ACOZO)'. And I've come back on Wattpad with a surprise and a major BOOOOOOOM!

I am now writing for both fandoms. YEHET AGAIN!

I like the EXO fandom's way of writing and it's just so interesting to delve into a different world when I read their fanfics because the writing style is very, VERY different from the One Direction fanfics. (unless you're on A03 because all the experts are there)

And I like writing for the One Direction fandom. It's the feels from deep within for me, y'know? 

Also I'm craving for matcha chocolate rn. 

And uhhh... THIS MARKS THE END OF MY POST! YAY!
